25개의 새로운 과속 단속 카메라가 내년에 토론토 거리에 등장합니다. 시는 토론토 전역에 25대의 추가 카메라를 설치하여 자동 속도 단속(ASE) 프로그램을 확장하고 있으며 시행은 2023년 2월에 시작될 예정입니다. 카메라는 현재 설치되어 있는 50개에 추가되어 사용 중인 ASE 장치의 총 수는 75개로 늘어났습니다.
시는 향후 장치가 설치될 위치에 90일 경고 표지판을 설치하기 시작했습니다. 지방 법률에 따라 요구되는 표지판은 카메라를 설치하기 전에 운전자에게 경고하고 혐의가 부과되기 전에 카메라의 존재를 알리기 위한 것입니다.
보도 자료에서 John Tory 시장은 25개의 추가 카메라가 토론토 전역에서 인명을 구하고 도로 안전을 강화하며 과속을 줄이는 데 도움이 될 것이라고 말했습니다. 현재 사용 중인 50대의 카메라는 8월에 25,224장의 티켓을, 9월에 23,163장의 티켓을 발행했습니다.
